Previous Blog: Get Cute and Cozy at Old Navy’s Bundle-Up Bash
I got picked for Old Navy's latest dress sample share. Yay! :)
Old Navy mailed me two coupons... One for me, One for a friend...
One *FREE* Dress of your choice!I am getting ready to relocate for my job, which means saying goodbye to some great friends. I am grateful I got the opportunity for a Saturday evening shopping trip with my friend Jackie. We joked about how she's going to miss me for all the free Old Navy clothes she's gotten via me the past few months.
It's been stressful getting ready for my move, so I really enjoyed the retail therapy. And, since Jackie is a poor grad student, she also enjoyed the break from studying and a fabulous free dress. We had so much fun trying on tons of Old Navy dresses.
Our boyfriends met up with us later at Old Navy. And, we all had dinner together after finishing up our shopping trip. It was great to spend time together before the move. And, we will remember that fun night every time we wear our Old Navy dresses.
My Free Pick!
Women's Smocked Chiffon Dresses - Locomotive
I ended up using my sample share coupon for this one. I thought it was really flattering on me. I loved the flutter sleeves and fitted waist. I could see myself throwing a cardigan over it and wearing it to work, and then enjoying it in the evening for a nice dinner out with my boyfriend. I also loved the feel of the material. And, the tiered hem line was cute, too! I was really glad my store had this style in stock.
My $16.28 Splurge!
Women's Belted Tie-Sleeve Crepe Dresses - Navy
I had a $10 Coupon from Old Navy's iPhone app, SnapAppy. What an awesome app! So, I ended up buying this dress, too. I don't normally go for busy patterns, but I liked this style a lot. I don't own anything like this dress. And, it was somewhat modest too, which makes it a work option for me as well. I also loved how it had a belted waist.
Jackie's Free Pick!
Women's Printed-Chiffon Keyhole Dresses - Khaki
Jackie had a tough time deciding which dress to get. She was torn between this dress and one of the longer maxi dresses. Luckily, our patient boyfriends showed up toward the end and helped with the final decision. Jackie always loves fun prints, like animal prints. She picked this dress because she loved the fun style and bold leopard looking pattern.
My Honorable Mentions!
Women's Floral-Chiffon Keyhole Dresses - Blue
I really, really liked this dress. The blue oracle pattern was great. I tend to wear boring colors, so I loved the fun pop of color. The neckline, length, and fabric were all great. My problem was that I could only find a Size S. And, it was a little too big up top. I really needed a Size XS or bigger chest. So, I passed on this dress for now. But, it's still on my mind and wish list. I may order it from Old Navy online or stop back and see if they get it in my size.
Women's Ruffled Crepe Tube Dresses - Blue
This was a fun dress to try on, but it really wasn't my style. I was drawn to it because of the fun, bold print. I loved the blue shade. I typically prefer straps, so I actually tied the string to be a halter top. When I found the link for this blog, I realized it was actually meant to be a tube dress with a bow. Oops!? I do think you could also wear it as halter top, though.
Women's Embroidered Chambray Dresses - Blue
I've never tried a dress on this style before. It was a fun option to try on, but I like more fitted dresses. This one didn't do much for my body type. And, it felt a bit too long for my short stature. I also typically avoid cotton material because it wrinkles so easily.
This was another dress that we both picked to try on. I liked the style of this dress, and it fit well up top for me. My issue was the color seemed to wash my pale skin away. And, I wasn't crazy for the cotton material since I hate wrinkles. Jackie and I both agreed this dress was just "okay."
