I got picked for Old Navy's latest shorts sample share. Yay! :)
Old Navy mailed me two coupons... One for me, One for a friend...
One *FREE* Pair of Shorts of your choice!
One *FREE* Pair of Shorts of your choice!
I relocated for my job from Roanoke, VA to Greenville, SC in mid-April. It
has been very stressful and exhausting. I found out I got into the Old Navy
Shorts sample share the day before I moved away. It was such a pleasant surprise
in between all of the packing / cleaning and
sad goodbyes.
I mailed the sample share coupon to my friend Jackie. When I was in Roanoke, Jackie was always my Old Navy shopping pal. We did the Old Navy Winter Bundle-Up Bash party and Old Navy Outerwear & Dresses sample shares together.
Jackie was thrilled when I told her about it. She moved to Pensacola, FL shortly after I left. Being in the warmer south now, we both needed to get some shorts for our closets this summer. And, we both needed to find and explore our new Old Navy stores.
When Jackie and I went shopping, we txt’ed each other pictures while trying items on. It wasn’t quite the same as shopping together in person, but it was still a lot of fun. I loved still having her opinion.
It was also the perfect treat after I got down here and settled in a bit. I dragged my boyfriend along shopping with me. He even found some Old Navy t-shirts and shorts for himself. It was our first non-grocery related shopping trip here.Yay!
We had fun exploring Greenville’s Old Navy store together. I was pleasantly surprised with the big store size and wide selection. I honestly found every style I had spotted online ahead of time. The Old Navy staff was very friendly while we were taking pictures in the dressing room area and store.

My Old Navy Shorts Picks! |
My Free Pick!
I typically always gravitate to short shorts. <Insert the “Who Wears Short Shorts jingle> I am not the skinniest girl in the world, but I don’t mind showing off my pasty white legs. I tried on plenty of the 3", 3.5", and even 5" shorts while I was shopping. I liked the 3.5" shorts a lot.
During the Old Navy sample shares and hosted parties, I always try to push myself outside of my comfort zone and try on styles or colors I would not normally pick. So, I decided to try on a pair of the Bermuda shorts. Since I am only 5’4”, I really thought they would look silly on my. I don’t really even own any capris because even petite capris always seem to look funny on me.
Guess what… I ended up getting these Old Navy Welt-Pocket Bermuda shorts in navy blue! I fell in love with them when I put them on. They hit me right above the knee, which I liked. And, they were flattering and nicely highlighted my derriere. And, super comfy, too! They reminded me of Old Navy's Perfect Khaki pants.
When it came down to the deciding factor, I chose them because I didn’t have any other Bermuda shorts. So, it's something new for my closet this summer. I chose the navy color over the khaki color. And, my boyfriend also gave his stamp of approval as he took a picture of me modeling them outside the dressing room.

Old Navy Jean Shorts
I also wanted to try on a few pairs of Old Navy jeans shorts. I have some of Old Navy's Diva blue jean pants, which I love wearing. So, I looked for some Old Navy Diva blue jean shorts. I was really impressed how many Old Navy shorts styles I found in-store. They had a ton of different shades in a variety of lengths, hems, and pocket styles.
I really, really liked this pair a lot and re-tried them on a few times. I loved the dark denim rinse color. And, they were both comfy and flattering from behind. Ultimately, I did not pick them because I already have other Old Navy jeans shorts. I decided to go with something a bit different.
Note: More Colors Available! If you like the 3" cut-off style above, Old Navy also has them in some fun summer colors, such as... Neon Pinksicle, Double Trouble Red, Serpenteal, Crowning Achievement, and Electric Cantaloupe. Check out the link to see the great shades available.
Women's Denim Shorts (3") – Blue Wave
I also liked these Denim 3” shorts, which came in both Blue Wave (lighter color) and Rinse (darker color.) I found the first denim cut-off style fit me a bit better, though. But, they were both great denim shorts options. I am still thinking about going back to buy a pair of the 3" denim cut-off shorts in Rinse or a fun color. Come on, SnapAppy! I need an Old Navy coupon again. Haha. If you haven't downloaded Old Navy's free app yet, you should definitely grab it. I used a SnapFive coupon during my shopping trip for $5 off my additional Old Navy purchases. Love it!
Old Navy Khaki Shorts
I already own plenty of Old Navy’s Perfect Khaki Pants in a variety of colors. In fact, I even picked up another pair during my shopping trip. So, I was excited to see Old Navy’s Perfect Khaki Shorts. They were really comfy and cozy, just like their pants fit. Simply "Perfect!"
I tried on the Perfect Khaki shorts in Rolled Oats and Ink Blue. I personally preferred the 3.5" navy shorts. I probably would have chosen them, if I had not picked the Bermuda shorts. They were so comfy. The 3.5" shorts also had a cute cuffed leg opening, which was a nice little detail.
I also tried on the Floral Khaki printed shorts. I wanted to stick to a
neutral pair of shorts, but this was a fun pattern, which went great with
my white polo. I also loved the canvas shorts, which were super comfy.
They also came in some brighter fun colors, like Aquatic Park blue.

Jackie's Free Pick!
Jackie narrowed her choice down to the 3" Denim Cut-off shorts. Jackie is a competitive runner, often competing in marathons. She loves to show off her legs in short shorts. She had a hard time choosing between the yellow and white colors. She ended up picking yellow, and she said they're one of her most comfy pairs of shorts now. She looks super cute in her new Old Navy shorts. They will be perfect for staying cool when she runs along the Pensacola beach this summer!
Special thanks to my patient shopping boyfriend, Matthew!
